Taste Washington is the nation’s largest single-region wine and food festival. It takes place yearly in Seattle, in the state of Washington. Taste Washington features tastings of a wide range of wines made from diverse grape varieties grown in Washington’s diverse growing regions, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Riesling, among others. The event celebrates the wines of Washington and provides a platform for wineries and wine enthusiasts to come together and sample some of the state’s finest wines. Many wineries and producers strive to participate in order to garner support, recognition and appreciation toward their wine production. The festival includes different chance at wine and food pairings and the opportunity to meet sommeliers and expert wine producers.
